Tree planting, Alliance Homes.
Alliance Homes have been working with Landscape Services planting trees on sheltered schemes right across North Somerset.
As the sites selected were fairly quiet we decided to go without the usual tree protection. We also decided that smaller 8-10 standard trees would be the best to use. These are young, vigorous trees that always tend to survive and settle better than larger trees.
Its always tempting to go for "instant effect" but this is a much more expensive approach. We estimate that we have planted around 30% more trees with the budget that was available using this approach.
That's 60 well positioned trees that will help North Somerset remain a "green and pleasent land" well into the future.
